H.O.T.Y. 2007 – search is on!

It’s the time of the year — the search is on for the Gays’ Choice Hunk Of The Year 2007 (H.O.T.Y. 2007)! Last year’s winners were Zanjoe Marudo, Dennis Trillo, and Enchong Dee. Who will be this year’s set of winners?
You may participate in the pre-selection by leaving a comment here with your recommended hunk candidate (indicate full name please). I will select 15 to 20 finalists, from which I will ask all readers of this blog to choose the top 3 hunk of the year for 2007. Note: we will include only those hunks that have Pinoy origins/blood.

Come to think of it, I came of age–pun very intended–feasting on those showbiz mags na reyna ng ka-cheapangahan but always reliable in showcasing male flesh. Pati “Mr. & Ms.” summer issue inaabangan ko ‘coz it guaranteed the mister on its cover wearing Speedos. I still remember Ricardo Cepeda (Snooky’s ex) as a fave. More vintage: Ronald Jayme, Emilio Garcia, Ace Espinosa, Gardo Versoza, Ruel Vernal, Jestoni, Miguel, and, one of my ultimate faves, Gino Antonio (those lips!).

Rio, the campiest film I’ve seen is Joey Gosiengfiao’s “Temptation Island” with Dina Bonnevie, Bambi Arambulo, Azenith Briones. They’re beauty queens trapped in an island (don’t ask me how) with the stereotypical parlorista, alalay, and hunks. First pairing yata nina Dina and Alfie Anido rito. Ricky Belmonte is one of the hunks in the films. Mark Gil is one of the sexiest ever btw.

BTw, among the campiest films of the late 70’s are Piknik, Beach House, Lips to Lips (starring Rio and Al with torrid lips to lips every 5 mins of the movie) and a dozen of others directed by Joey Gosiengpao and Cloyd Robinson. Hope Regal Films come up with vcd/dvd copies of their old bold films. Speaking of the old bold movies,the studs of Mga Uhaw na Bulaklak Parts I and II are oh so sexy!
