i was in the states then doing my postgrad when jericho was starting a name in the Philippines. I remember my entire family would stay until the wee hours of the morning (Saturday) just to catch ASAP, back to back with the sharon cuneta show. i don’t remember which one would start at 12am, and the second at 2am. pero we would all be awake and be excited to watch these shows. jericho at the time was very “normal” teenager…lalaking-lalaki ang dating. walang air of royalty kumbaga pero malakas ang dating. don’t know about his english-english thing kasi hindi ko na naabutan yun.

Totoo kaya ang mga balita na dati syang alaga ng mga parlorista? Ang swerte namn ng mga baklang yun, di ba?

At totoo rin kaya ang bulungan noon na sa The HUNKS (Jericho, Piolo, Diether, Carlos and BJ), dalawa lang ang tunay na lalaki (si Jericho nga at Bernard)? At pag may concert out of the country noon, 2 of them would share a room and the other 3 hunks in the other.

Roommates si Piolo at si BJ. (Bernard Palanca recently admitted that he’s alcoholic and a drug abuser. Sa mga gabing magkasama sila ni Papa Piolo sa kwarto at may amats, the letters BJ do not only refer to Bernard’s nickname?)

At sa kabilang kwarto, si Jericho, kasama si Carlos at si Diether. Madalas daw nagsosolo lumabas sa gabi si Diether. Leaving Carlos alone with Jericho in the room, with the lights off.(Wala kahit isang beses na nabalita na may babae si Carlos.) Hinahayaan na lang siguro ni Echo dahil magkaibigan namn sila.

Yung dalawang HUNKS na lalaki are Echo and BJ. Si Diether, AC/DC, kahit kanino pwedeng isaksak.

Mismong isang sikat na sikat na Kapamilya star (not just a star, but a “royal” title to her too!) ang nagkukwento nito. Off the record daw. Pero matagal naman na. Disbanded na ang The HUNKS. But they will always have those nights to remember.
