Since “Ang Lalake sa Parola” I’ve become a fan of Lex Bonife and Joselito Altarejos. Here comes another obra from this duo, “Ang Lihim ni Antonio.” The Director’s Cut Premiere will be at the UP Film Institute on February 4, 2008 (Monday). Regular showing will start on February 13 at Robinson’s Galleria, Robinson’s Ermita and Cebu.

Antonio (Kenji Garcia) is a curious fifteen-year-old boy who is beginning to come to terms with his own sexuality. Although his straight best friend, Mike (Jiro Manio), has been supportive of his coming out, his first sexual conquest has led to the destruction of his friendship with his other best buddy, Nathan.

Antonio’s exploration of his identity unfolds as his family begins to break up. His altruistic mother, Tere (Shamaine Buencamino) is in complete denial that his father has already abandoned them.

A shocking tragedy begins to spiral up as Antonio meets his hedonistic uncle Jonbert (Josh Ivan Morales), who becomes the boy’s sexual obsession.

    hi,, uhm,, pede ba ako bumili sa inyo ng ORIGINAL DVD nito (Ang Lihim ni Antonio) and “ANG LALAKE SA PAROLA” ?

    kasi face out na sa Odyssey e,, huhuhu… I don’t want to buy the pirated ones kasi worth buying itong dalawang movie na ito.. .

    Ang ganda ng story. . Lalo na ung kay Tong De Guzman .. hehehe…

    bought the dvd for a different intention and surprisingly, i liked the movie..

    definitely better than “ang lalaki sa parola”, this film really hit me most especially the last part.

    so worth watching :-)

    napanood ko ang movie and it really reflects to all of us who undergo the same experience like as antonio..very power ang mensahe ng movie..what admire me most is the guy who played antonio..verty brave actor..wala kang hesityation na makikita sa mukha niya sa laht ng maseselang eksena lalao na dun sa part nung inaakit na talkaga cia ni tito joe..the whole movie is really good..

    just saw the movie…i hate to admit but i saw it sa pirated dvd lang…i’ll get the original one, promise! is it out already?

    btw, great movie…great story, great acting esp from ms. sharmaine buencamino (award-winning, in my opinion)…and also unexpected great acting from kenjie and josh ivan…unexpected because it’s the first time i see them in the big screen…and they both have potential…MAD potential esp kenjie!

    of course, kahit minor role lang, exceptional pa din ang husay ni jiro…sana makakuha ulit ng magandang lead role si jiro like magnifico…he deserves another one…

    congratulations po ulet sa cast, crew at lalo na po sa writer at director…

    i’ll be looking forward to kambyo as well…

    Loved the film. It was such a pleasant surprise that this film delivers more. Sharmaine Buencamino deserves an acting nod for her role. The boys…oooh the boys, arousing and interesting. Unlike Parola, the boys acted more naturally, less self conscious.

    Sobrang nakakaaliw yung dialogue between Kenji and Jiro when the former admitted having sex with their barkada that soured their relationship… Jiro’s questions escalated from “Naghalikan kayo?” “Nag chupaan kayo?” to “Nagtirahan kayo sa pwet?”

    Marikina was featured; such a beautiful, clean city.

    Tito Jo was fuhlaming hot!

    Wicked, wicked ending!

    Loved it!

    Congratulations to Lex Bonife and Joselito Altarejos.

    Your two films stand out.
    P.S. In future films, would there be happy endings?

    ang ganda poh ng movie, may lalim ang bawat eksena… magagaling din mga actors lalo na si antonio.. hehe… di mukhang baguhan…. maganda rin ang pagdeliver ng dialogues…. kelangan mong panoorin ito mula simula ang wakas,…. dahil ibang movie talaga ito…. pananabikan mo ang bawat eksena… sana magkaroon pa ng ganitong obra, fit sa lahat.. magkaroon sana ng magandang break si kenjie, napakahusay poh niya… may i know kung san poh siya nanggaling…tnx..

    there… the real color of independent film making has been born in our noble country. some say that this is all about sexual arouementt and indecent acts in the eyes of the viewers. but for real, this pink films gives me the idea to make it in novel. i’m currently writing a story close to the topic but not that too sensual, and not to boring but i can say to all that we can show what we can say, do, and act. im trully support this indie films of the philippines, because without this, movies will be no such thing.
