Viva’s dynamic duo Jay Altarejos and Lex Bonife dished out a refreshingly funny gay film by way of Kambyo. I was at the premiere night at Cine Adarna (UP Diliman) and while I thought the story was really quite thin — it was okay, given that the goal of the film is to be mostly entertaining. There are two things I distinctly remember about the movie: first is that beautiful, beautiful love scene between Johnron Tanada and Rayan Dulay. It was passionate and real. Technically, I would say the images were really very well shot — ang ganda ng lighting! And the second thing that I really enjoyed in the movie was Harold Macasero playing the funny character of Xavier. Ang galing-galing mo Harold, bow ako sa iyo ‘teh! Hehehe!

Catch this entertaining movie as it is shown at Robinson’s Galleria, Robinson’s Place Ermita, and Robinson’s Metro East starting July 9, 2008.

    i liked the movie!! pero di kasing powerful ng mga naunang parola at antonio!! even the sex scenes, tamed ciya..

    yes migs…i really loved that scene nina jonron at ryan dulay talagang they are passionately in love sa isat isa. kesehodang meron na wifey si jonhron ay nag DO PA RIN SILA ni dulay. tapos they really na express their love to each other sa kanilang mga reactions. yes totoo ito nangyari na ito sa aking buhay ngayon. ang dalawang lovers ko ay meron ka live in na girlash. both of them ay meron ng 1 boys. pero pumupunta pa rin sila sa akin. i loved them both. talagang ARTS IMITATE LIFE. ano ang say sa kafatid mo migs?

    Di maganda yung movie. Sobrang sayang talaga, kasi may potential sana, kaso pangit ang editing, hindi ma-establish yung story ng bawat character. Di tuloy ako maka-empathize sa mga characters. Isa pa, ang daming beses na hindi marinig yung dialogue, hindi man lang nagawan ng paraan. Atsaka, yung pag arte ng mga actors medyo flat. Pati yung dialogues – flat!

    are you guys disappointed with the film for which reasons?

    disappointed ba kayo kasi pangit talaga ang pelikula or disappointed kayo kasi it’s not as bold as antonio and parola? duh!

    I was disappointed with the movie. The story line is flat and the sex scene is so ordinarily shots,not even closed to Parola and Dilim. I hope direk could have done a better film as his previous one,more intense love scenes and the photography is too dark on the bed scene and the beach,no hot ears,too cold in fact!

    I have not seen the film, but I would only comment sa photos ni Johnron. The comments before are just right, ginawang bading si Johnron na pede namang maging super manly ang dating. One thing for sure, ang photographer ay siguradong bading din na inilabas ang obsessions kay Johnron…pede bang re-take?

    That beautiful love scene? What is so beautiful about a scene which you can hardly see dahil sobrang dilim? Could have been a beautiful scene yes … the kissing scene APPEARS to be both tender and passionate. But it’s really difficult to say especially when you see mostly only the silhouette of the actors! And this is the ONLY sex scene in the film (wag na po natin isama yung sex scene nina harold at gab sa me dalampasigan — sobrang dilim i no longer knew what was happening in the scene!)

    after having set the standards sa parola and antonio in terms of boldness and being daring, ngayon ka pa ba magpapaka DEMURE direk? Di bagay.

    Ung iba sa shots very gay nga ang aura nya,damitan mo lang ng long sleeve at ska mag eyeglass para ko ng nakita ang kafatid ni mama Fanny Serrano mo. Pero yung 2nd and 3rd namn medyo ok pa, buong pa-mhinta ang aura.

    I don’t get it? when will we go beyond the looks? aren’t we supposed to be thrilled that even if the person has a mediocre face but a extremely well acting skill then we should be proud about it? nakakaloka puro katawan at mukha na lang ba ang laman ng utak ng mga bakla?hmmm baka magpaka straight na lang ako…
