So guys.. we should all be UNITED in showing COSMO just how wrong they are… lets boycott the magazine, the event, and Migs.. maybe you shouldnt post any more pics taken from the party either.. and all previous posts of cosmo events (those gay hating assh#les!) should be taken down from the new website .. we should really be united in this fight against the opresive cosmo management and promo organisers.. damn them to hell.. those sons of b#tches dont deserve the free publicity. And all this talking about it, is only giving power to the event and to the organizers.. I apologise for all my outbursts.. to the MGG readers, i aplogise.. how could i have thought that this was not discrimination? What an idiot ive been.. and to Rommel, sweet sweet rommel, with your wisdom and bright examples..will you ever find it in your heart of hearts to forvive me for my nasty nasty, wash my mouth out with soap, comments.. what a fool Ive been for disagreeing with your oh so wise comments…and for referring to tagalog as WIKANG BANYAGA.. duh.. its “pambansa”.. unforgivable.. what an idiot .. what was i thinking?    tagalog nalang nga para maintindihan ni ROMMEL… pwede naman dumalo ang lalake, bakla, at kahit sinong mama.. basta lang mayroon silang dalang imbitasyon.. karamihan sa press, sponsors, employado ng summit ay dadfalo at madaming LALAKE doon. diretso at bakla..PLU, gay, bading, bi.. whatever you want to call urselves… HINDE BAWAL ANG BAKLA> kaso nga lang yung PROMO para sa libreng imbitasyon ay inilaad nila para sa mga kababaihang mambabasa ng COSMO.. ano naman ang masama doon? Yung EXAMPLE mo na kung ang bed BAR wag papasukin ang mga babae ay (once again) mali…. sana naman ay naunawan na ng makitid mong isipan at nasa wikang banyaga na.

   Feeling na isahan ka pa din ng COSMO?? Sige para matahimik ka.. bat di mo ipagpilitan ang sarili mo doon, mag fill up ka ng promo form ,isama mo ang BABAYLAN at mag alma kayo doon sa labas ng event with your promo forms. good luck, and pagpalain ka ng diyos.

   Amen to this!! If people would stop discriminating, even as small as this cosmopolitan promo then we can finally stop being 2nd class citizens. It’s obvious it is a form of discrimination because we all know some PLU’s would want to go to that event and win that stupid promo. If FHM has a promo for an event and it says “for males only” Im sure Aiza Seguerra or some lesbians would cry foul as well. IT IS DISCRIMINATION. plain and simple.

    maybe the best thing to do is to let those people from summit media know na hindi naman lahat ng bumibili ng magazines nila ay babae. a big chunk of their followers are PLU. and they should be very careful sa mga promotions nila dahil sila rin ang magsa-suffer if PLU stop patronizing their magazines. what do you think people? tama ba ako?     Only thing.. their FREE TICKETS promo is only for women. LAHAT ng LALAKE, gay or str8, cant join the promo. Whats the big deal?? jeez. Its their promo.. they can have their own rules. (which is only fair)

    Are sTr8 men crying sexual discrimination coz the promo is only for women?? NOPE.

    Just because a promo excludes us, it does not mean were being discriminated upon.. It EXCLUDES ALL MEN.

    Its not discriminatory actually although you are right, there should have not been any gender mentioned on the invites…Red De Leon(one of Summit Media’s editors, particularly cosmopolitan) is gay and i dont think he’s not invited, right? and besides, cosmopolitan is the WOMEN magazine so their target demonitation does not really include people like us. with regards to the question if gay people can file a lawsuit, unfortunately, we do not have those kind of laws that can persecute summit media.

    Like Rocky said, there are no concrete anti-discrimination laws in the Philippines. However, I’m sure there is a significant gay readership and c’mon there must be tons of gays that work with Cosmo. If they continue to discriminate against gays then we should just boycott their rag and drag their names through the mud. Their bottom line is profit and their reputation is a part of that. Whoever is in charge of the magazine is either ignorant or stupid in this regard.

    Its like having a party and not inviting married people… Its the host’s prerogative who he or she wants to invite to his party.. in this case pa nga, everyone is invited naman.. its just the free tickets (that are for the promo winners, na they prefer to be women) that are in question. Its like when OPRAH raffled a weekend cruise for the winning pair of 2 sisters,… did all the men in the audience raise their hands in protest? no. Same difference.

    So if you guys wanna picket.. boycoot the magazine, .. knock urselves out.

    Without any real anti-discrimination laws in the country, there’s no real way to sue folks on any supposed discriminatory cases may it be about race or gender preference.

    At the same time, it’s a magazine and ultimately a business and they’re free to set the conditions of their contests any way they see fit. They’re not obligated to make all contests free-for-all and equal-opportunity. That would more apply to job applications and perhaps government health benefit cases to think of more plausible grounds to cry “foul” in the name of discrimination.
