Introducing another Fil-Am among our featured men here at ManilaGayGuy.com, a Viva recording artist, R&B singer Dannie Farmer, a.k.a. DannieBoi. Below is an article on Sun Star Manila that featured DannieBoi recently.
Dannieboi, a new recording artist of Viva Records, says he is excited to introduce to Filipinos his own brand of music he has compiled in one album dubbed “Soundtrip”.
Through his desire to give listeners a fresh kind of music, he creatively entwined different music genres like techno, hip-hop and R&B in his songs. “The album is called ‘Soundtrip’ because it is actually a mixture of different genres. So it’s a very unique sound. So I called it ‘Soundtrip’ because you’re going to have a trip over the sound,” the newest R&B singer said.
The album features seven tracks: “Don’t Need to Know,” “At Your Service,” “Dance Floor” featuring Klumcee, “You Were Meant For Me,” “I Wanna Be With You” featuring Hi-C, “Shake That Thing” featuring Beatmonx, and “Stop It”.
All the songs, he said, are about love, friendship and heartaches.
By the way, DannieBoi is celebrating his birthday today! Happy birthday, DannieBoi!

You have alot of these FilAm boys, in the last few years, that maybe have average to excellent talent crossing the Paciifc ocean to make a name for themselves, which they cannot get their foot in the door in the USA-(very rare). A good example is Sam Milby, without the exposure from PBB, we would not know Sam. But I do wish DannieBoi the best and I am going to check out his new CD. Has the CD dropped?

Very cute. I dont understand why this is supposed to be a hit song. I dont understand why they released this awkward video (pinoys even half breeds have never perfected showing the right amount of coolness). And lastly, i dont understand why he even got signed up for a record deal. Oh boy oh boy… Why is his name Dannie Boy? Sounds pop to me… Its like Dani Minogue but with a boy in the end. Oh well…. He’ll be gone in maybe a year anyway. When will these imports/half-breeds wow us? So the “auditions” go on…. Next!

DannieBoi is a nice guy. He is determined and proud to be Filipino. He’s the 1st Pinoy to work with an american hiphop group discovered by Pharell Williams. They are the one who did the “Like I Love You” of Justin Timberlake. Give the guy a chance because he is hardworking and willing to learn.
His CD is out now. And he will soon make waves not just here in the Philippines but even abroad. Instead of blasting on him, why not just wish him well to do good with his music and work, because whatever achievements he gained… it’s for us.

Jeman: Hes nice, sure… but hes a singer not a priest nor philantropist. Willing to learn? Maybe he needs to learn more before they release anything. I support his cuteness though. Oh, i gave it a shot… listened to the songs posted on his Myspace account… sucked! It was not catchy. It was plain weak. He might be working with the wrong people.

jayson: Hip hop? what the hell are you talking about. That wasnt hip hop! It sounded pop to me. For it to be hip hop, it should convince everyone that its hip hop… i didnt convince me. It could pass for R&B… but hip hop…. NOOOOOOOO! And again, i agree he is cute. Good music, sure, whatever. But i appreciate awesome music. It wasnt awesome.
