Synchronicity and Serendipity

Announcements, Migs Speaks 16 comments

Synchronicity: the experience of two or more events that are causally unrelated occurring together in a meaningful manner.

Serendipity: the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely unrelated.

I am hosting a coffee meet-up for 5 people whom I don’t know and who don’t know each other and are open to serendipity and synchronicity. Write me at manilagayguy@gmail.com if interested and tell me about yourself. I will randomly choose. Conditions are: a) You are not a stalker. b) You are open to meeting people. I envision this small forum of 5 people will be a safe place to exchange ideas, get to know each other without pre-judgment or bias, and enrich each other by just being respectfully ourself.

Exciting? Date, time and place to follow. I will write about it after, with your personal information kept fully confidential.

(This is inspired by a similar effort by Jim P. of the Apo Hiking Society. Both word definitions above are from Wikipedia.)

Do Yourself A Favor: Know Your Art

Announcements, Arts and Culture 5 comments

Guys, do yourself a favor — get to know your own National Museum. Know your art. What are we gays for if we’re not sophisticated, intelligent, and beautiful creatures? Charot.

I attended this National Museum tour and I would say I highly recommend it. Kaya go lang mga teh. And no, I don’t get any commission for this. Gusto ko lang na basta bading, may alam sa art. Kung hindi tayo, sino? Kung hindi ngayon, kailan? Isa na namang charot. O siya, basta, punta na.

By the way, kadugo natin si John Silva. Bumeso ng bonggang bongga pag nakita nyo sya.

Do you twit?

Announcements, Migs Speaks 3 comments

Are you tired of being the usual ol’ size queen, getting them always long and large? Perhaps you’d enjoy it short but hefty? I assure you, pinoy-sized ones are just as delish. I mean updates — so we can get to know each other better. Through micro-blogs, micro-twits.

Do you twit?

I do. Add me up. Click here.

MGG For Friends Meet and Greet!

Announcements 29 comments

mggffsleepoveron25th

Exclusively for MGG Readers who are TRULY looking for friends. Ang tagline nga ng MGG For Friends (MGGFF) site: “Find a Friend, Not a Fuck.” Taray di ba? Hahaha! So one of the guys in MGGFF has organized this get together on Saturday, July 25, 2009. Thanks Allen! Those who will join this get together in person will get a chance to be named either “Most Sociable Guy” or “Most Interesting Guy” — both titlists will get a chance to meet the Fabcasters in person in another private (wholesome) party organized by the Fabcasters themselves. So… what are you waiting for? Join MGGFF!

(Sa mga nagtataas ng kilay, “wholesome party?” — yes, the Fabcasters would host wholesome parties every now and then. Our batting average is every 2 months. In the past, we invited mostly gay bloggers. It has always, always been a pleasant experience whenever we have these get togethers, mostly consisting of good conversations over wine and cheese, and for the more butch, over bottles of Red Horse. Good news is that we’re gradually opening it up to non-bloggers as well. Interested?)
