Hi sa inyong lahat….maraming salamat to your criticisms and comments..some are nice, some are so hurting kahit di naman nila gaanong kilala ang tunay na pagkatao at pinagmulan ni Rocky. WHile Rocky is still inside the Big Brother house, just please watch him na lang. If you really know Rocky that well at gusto nyo syang tirahin, antayin nyo na lang lumabas at harapin nyo sya… It is so hurting to read the comments, especially those bad ones para sa akin bilang nanay nya.

Edge is a character in Gossip Girly local soap (so I was told), featuring hot dudes and dudettes. Edge, in real life, is Kevin Lapena, a fresh-faced 18-year-old college sophomore at the De La Salle University, majoring in Applied Corporate Management.

Apart from being Edge, Kevin is my glimmering hope, a twinkling light in my damp, sullen nights of loneliness. He sparkles amidst the blinding darkness of dour despair… parang palangganang kay liit-liit at kumikinang-kinang na kung tawagin ay sequins. Charot lang. Basta cute siya. See for yourself:

Last December, the whole country got to know Wanggo Gallaga, son of director Peque Gallaga, when he admitted on national television that he has HIV. Most viewers were confused: how can a healthy-looking, professional, young man be infected with the dreaded virus. In the minds of many Filipinos, Wanggo does not fit the mold of someone with HIV or AIDS.

More than a decade ago, statistics show that most Filipinos with HIV or AIDS are either sex workers or OFWs. Now, according to the Department of Health, infected patients are getting younger and younger. Last year, more than 60% are between the ages of 20 and 29. Most are males, infected through sexual intercourse with the same sex. Are they the new face of HIV and AIDS in the Philippines ?

In his interviews, Wanggo says that the main reason why he came out is to help educate Filipinos about the virus. Having HIV or AIDS is no longer the death sentence it was a before. With medication and a proper lifestyle, people with HIV and AIDS can live normal lives. He also stressed the importance of getting tested for the virus.

In the US , experts are continually researching for the cure and finding ways to improve the lives of people living with the virus.

Model-turned-actor VICTOR ALIWALAS recently scored a victory in the recent “S.O.P.” TAG Awards held in the musical variety show “S.O.P.” The awarding was held last Sunday, April 5. Victor won in the Most Popular Male Hottie category besting other strong contenders such as Aljur Abrenica and Chris Cayzer. “I’m very happy and at the same time surprised with the results”, says Victor. While awaiting for his next G.M.A. soap, Vicor finished an indie film entitled “Tutok” where he co-stars with Emilio Garcia, Allen Dizon, Ian de Leon, Lloyd Samartino and Boots Anson-Roa. In “Tutok”, Victor plays an ambitious newsman and correspondent. Victor also recently shot a music video for Sony BMG Artist Lovi. The music video is for Lovi’s hit song, “Dito Sa Puso”. I’m here in Southern California and currently glued on the TV — because while I rarely, rarely watch television, I am religiously following Tyra Bank’s America’s Next Top Model (yes, partner influence, hehehe!). Tonight they reveal the grand winner. Currently, 3 remain, namely Samantha Potter, McKey Sullivan, and Analeigh Tipton. Partner has been rooting for Analeigh since the start, while I was for the wicked and mean Elina Ivanova — but when Elina got eliminated I latched on to McKey Sullivan. Now Analeigh and McKey are head-to-head, with dark horse Samantha on the side. In a couple of hours we’ll see who wins Hang in there, I’ll give updates here. Warning! SPOILERS AHEAD. (more…)
