The Macho Dancer’s weapon is his particular brand of striptease. And just as the Western is American and the Samurai film Japanese, the Macho Dancer Movie is quintessentially Filipino. Everyone is invited to attend an afternoon session with Filipino-American professor-writer Dr. Martin Manalansan IV during the Film 178 Queer Cinema class sessions.

He will discuss his paper on Miguel/Michelle and return migration, and will entertain a Q&A on queer cinema and queer theory in general.
