Manila Gay Guy

I was in a Starbucks shop in Manila recently with no other than DowneLink’s infamous Dencio. He was with Paulo, his beloved partner (also of Closet Badets). We were waiting for Marco (the third guy who completes the triumvirate of the Closet Badets) who was then coming from a nearby school. To while away the time, I was teasing him about his almost magical prowess to hook up whenever he wanted, that was when he was still unattached. So the idea of a quickie interview came up — maybe I’d let Dencio give us some basic instructions on how to get laid in oh-so-gay Manila. Listen and learn.

I love OFWs. Why not naman, they are our country’s silent heroes. So when I received this letter from Tsinitoboy of the United Arab Emirates, I published it right away! It’s not a typical “I have a problem” letter, rather it is a sincere sharing of thoughts, happenings, and feelings. It has become a habit of mine to start my daily routine by looking at your site if there are any updates or comments. What I find amusing is actually the comment section on each of your post (I also like the way you tastefully present naked men & other mind tickling topics). Wherein some of your readers engage in a battle of wits through debates (I’ve been into one just lately on the topic of “Gays go to Hell”) or just plainly taunting each other like a bunch of gay kids. I want this DVD! Produced by Picture This, this compilation of 8 short gay films with the theme “Hooking Up,” was just released on Nov. 7, 2006. The “Boys Briefs” compilations began in 1999 and what makes Picture This unique is that before every film there is original footage giving us an idea of which each short film is about. They are also linked by a common theme; this one (Boys Brief 3) being dating and the also newly released “Boys Briefs 4″ is about guys who hustle. (more…)

A week ago, sometime around midnight, I was driving along Roxas Boulevard with my friends, and while I forget the topic of our animated, energetic conversation that time, I remember I was searching for this word in my mind. Nasa dulo ng dila ko. It escaped me at that moment, and I thought it was the most appropriate word to use for whatever my friends and I were talking about. Now I remember it: Perfidy.

Perfidy [pur-fi-dee]: (noun) deliberate breach of faith or trust; faithlessness; treachery.

Today it suddenly struck me again, and this time, I remembered the word. Not only do I remember the word but I remember the concept. I lived it several years ago. That time I had a partner and he was my first. It started out pretty well, until I did some naughty things. (more…)
