This year’s Cosmopolitan Bachelor Bash promises hot hunks in their wild and wet glory — happening on September 11 — and they are giving away 2 tickets each to 150 lucky Cosmo Philippines readers. Let me correct that: the promo is “open to female Cosmo readers only.” Huwaaaat?!?!

It’s a comedy variety show, the intimately funny, friendly, brutal, sexy, slutty version Bar Uno is quite known for among its regulars. And not to forget, they’re featuring their “wild-wild-wet” bikini-clad hunks parading on their ramp so close, you can almost touch “it”… hehehe! Don’t know much about Roy Rodrigo but he seems to be one of the hottie hunks of yesteryears. Notice how the standards of hunkiness have evolved through the years… one major reason I could think of is that gyms and body sculpting clinics were not as popular back then. Now you can find a gym just about anywhere. Anyway, enjoy Roy Rodrigo as he joins the other vintage hunks featured here at MGG.

Mac-mac, a long-time buddy and the only one among my friends who consistently calls me ‘Teh (Ate, or older sis), invites me over to this little-known burger place along one of the quieter streets tucked along busy Morato in Quezon City. Masarap ang burger dun, pati na yung pasta. Winner, teh!, he beams. I know Mac-mac as an artiste, and a little bit anti-mainstream so I got interested. Plus of course I was hungry. Picked him up in nearby Timog Avenue and in moments, we were there. Franz Burger. Yes the food was good enough, I even took some photos because I thought the place was great for EBs (eye-ball, blind, first-time meetups for online buds) as it was very discreet and private yet with a little bit of spunk and character.

In this surprisingly cozy ambiance, Mac-mac blurts out, may kuwento ako ‘teh. I’m reserving it for this kind of moments, sabi niya. Aba, I thought to myself, may bagong chika ang lola ko. So while gobbling up chunks of my delectable bacon mushroom cheeseburger, I was eagerly listening to Mac-mac’s anti-mainstream tale… a taste of being a gay matrona, all at a youngish age of 27. Getting pretty bored recently, one proof of which is my current hair-do — which is hair-none. Yes dears, Migs the Manila Gay Guy is sporting a semikal look now. A friend was saying “kulang na lang tattoo, mukha ka ng sanggano!” Hahaha, kung alam lang niya, sanggano ang hanap ko. Anyway, one other effect of this summer boredom is a crazy idea, a crazy attempt to make this site a little bit more exciting.

I thought, maybe I can feature more AMATEUR hunks and cuties here. So here’s what I propose to all of you MGG readers: we shall run an online search for hot Filipino men, preferably amateurs, those who have not really been out there in the limelight. I am willing to give away some nifty prizes to those who win. Here are the mechanics.

Sometimes I have to remind myself that this is my blog, and that I can, in principle, write whatever I feel like writing. Even if I most often feature hunks and other gay stuff here in this site, these are not the only things that occupy my mind. There a thousand other things that I consider worthy of my attention.
