“Masarap na ulam na di puwedeng kainin”

Letters, Love and Dating 61 comments

Hi Migs,

I’ve been reading your blog for almost three years and im so happy dahil maraming humihingi ng advice syo. Anyway just call me Macky, I just wanna share my story or should I say a problem. I’m a straight acting bi, walang nakakaalam kung ano ang tunay na feelings ko. Very discreet sabi nga nila. Nagwowork ako sa isang amusement company as operations manager for almost a decade, then minsan naaassign ako sa malayong lugar. Right now 6 months na ako sa Mindanao. (more…)

Proud 2 B Gay

Events 2 comments

This one’s not for the faint-hearted! LOL!

Timog Avenue’s infamous Bar Uno Comedy Lounge is mounting “Proud 2 B Gay: Grand Eyeball” on Friday, August 15, 2008. It’s a comedy variety show, the intimately funny, friendly, brutal, sexy, slutty version Bar Uno is quite known for among its regulars. And not to forget, they’re featuring their “wild-wild-wet” bikini-clad hunks parading on their ramp so close, you can almost touch “it”… hehehe! Millet, the bar’s manager says, “as usual, para ito sa ating mga ‘kapatid’ hehehe… may promo pala for Manila Gay Guy readers… Buy 4 tickets and they’ll get 1 ticket for free.”

The event will be hosted by their comedians Tsoknut, Iya, Kulafuh, Kim, and Tekla. Featuring Uno Republic Dancers, exotic dancers, and Bar Uno’s top male models. “Basta po lahat ng ikalulugod ng mga bading andun na lahat promise!” says Millet.

For inquiries, text/call them at 0921-4888884 or 376-4941. Bar Uno Comedy Lounge is located at #28 Timog Avenue, Quezon City.

Body Scrub + Massage at Revivir

Beauty and Wellness 41 comments

revivirspa.jpg

One December evening, I went to Revivir Spa, a quaint little massage place tucked in one of the narrow alleys perpendicular to Tomas Morato in Quezon City. I was there once before, I even wrote about it here although did not mention it was in Revivir. (That Star Masseur has since moved on from that place; last I heard, he’s busy managing his barbecue joint somewhere in the cool hillsides of Antipolo.) That December night, I had an agenda, which was to try out Revivir’s Body Scrub + Massage package. Priced at Php 1,000 the package was pretty tempting. I thought to myself, 2 hours of pampering at Php1k? Not bad. Besides, who knows what pleasurable extras I would enjoy within those 2 hours. Hahaha! Well, how did I find my visit? Read on and find out.

Pasko Na, Sinta Ketch: podcast

Events, Podcasts 6 comments

Several people were asking me, “were you at the Pasko Na, Sinta Ketch event?”

Yes, dears, I was there, briefly.

Thank you to Butterly Bar who graciously allowed us to use their ground floor facilities exclusively; to McVie, Tony, AJ, CC, and Gibbs for helping me organize the party; to Janvier Daily (and his manager, Ihman Esturco) for coming over to greet and hobnob with us; and most especially to all MGG readers and fellow gay bloggers (hi Misterhubs! hi Mugen!) who graced the get-together. Maraming salamat sa inyo!

McVie has put together a podcast with interview clips from the party — wonderful production I must say, so don’t you miss it. The 20-minute podcast after the jump!

What Makes You Tick?

Migs Speaks 28 comments

dsc00158.jpg I was in Los Angeles, California recently. (Yup, it was a business trip.) Stayed in a grand suite fit for royalty in one of the most expensive hotels in the area, and for the whole duration of my stay had a limo and personal chauffeur at my beck and call. Every night, the hotel manager attempted to impress me by sending in complimentary VIP accouterments to my suite: flowers and fruits one time, red wine on another, chocolates and fine candies on yet another, etc. I dined and wined with executives of a number of top multinational companies in the US, so that meant nothing less than chef-prepared, fine gourmet stuff. All luxury, fancy and fabulous.

I Am Lucky To Be Gay

Issues 17 comments

Beaming Gav, an MGG reader, writes in an email I received today:

I feel lucky to be gay. My homosexuality drove me from mediocrity to excellence. Why do I say that? Let me start by saying that I come from a family of modest accomplishments. I truly believe we were just not blessed with genes to be above-average. But consider this: I was a scholar since high school, graduated cum laude from UP Diliman, and now a manager in a big multinational company, earning more than Php 1M annually, all at 26 years old. I believe all these accomplishments were not because I was exceptional — because I am not. It was because of this: I was driven. Driven to show the world that I am not just gay. I was driven to show the world I was successful, hoping that the glare of success would blind them from the fact that I am gay. But now I realize I shouldn’t even exert too much effort to hide my homosexuality. With that realization, I celebrate it, my gayness, as my driving force to be where I am now. Yes, I am indeed lucky to be gay.

Good job, Gav! I share that positive frame of mind. Mabuhay ang mga bading!

Thank you and World Peace!

Inside the Mind of a Star Masseur

Issues, Places 41 comments

adonis.jpg

According to the manager of the massage place, he — Adonis — is their Star Masseur. “He is our number one masseur… mabenta, laging nakukuha.” I thought the manager was believable. Sharp features in Adonis’ chiseled face, moreno, caramel smooth skin, and the height (must be around 5′10″) made me choose him as my stallion among the stable of masseurs.
