Thanks to the organizers and judges of the 2009 Philippine Blog Awards. I just learned that MGG won in the “Ten Best Posts of the Year” via this blog post entitled “Kaya Dumarami Ang Bading Kasi…”

Our dear kapatid, Gibbs Cadiz, won Best Blog - Arts & Culture Category in the recently concluded Philippine Blog Awards 2008, held at the One Esplanade at the Mall of Asia Complex. I knew he would win — such a well-deserved victory! Mabuhay ka ‘teh! And by the way, Gibbs is celebrating his birthday today, September 22! The list of finalists for the 2008 Philippine Blog Awards has been released, and we’re nominated! The Fabcasters, led by our dear creative director, arranger, songwriter (choz!) and numero uno wit-machine McVie has been recognized as among the best video/podcasts in the Philippine Blogosphere! Congrats to my podcasting sisters, my co-fabcasters McVie, Gibbs, AJ, Tony, and CC! As I’m writing their names, I realize the intellectual, technical, and artistic prowess this group has. I’m so proud of the Fabcasters!

Another victory for us is the nomination of Gibbs Cadiz’s site for Best Blog in the Culture & Arts category. I have a feeling Gibbs will snag the trophy this year.

A gay American writer based in the Czech Republic writes about Manila Gay Guy:

I still can’t figure out why this blog (Manila Gay Guy) has so many hits. It’s so chatty, cliquey and really, really gay that all I could think of is that there’s only one gay blog in the Philippines and every single homosexual there reads it. Two or three times a day apparently.(link)

Well, well, well… amusing! But you know it isn’t true that MGG is the only gay blog here in the Philippines. In fact there are a lot of Pinoy gay bloggers. Some MGG readers, in fact, are themselves bloggers.
